Save more on your wedding in California
Wedding videographers and photographers are expensive in SoCal. I’m not suggesting you go without one, because you’ve invested so much in the event you want to experience your wedding on film and through photographs. Wedding photography packages easily can be from $3,000 to $10,000. Wedding video packages can easily surpass $3,000 into $8,000 easily. But there is good news on how to save more money.
December through February is probably the slowest times for a wedding studio. So if you can book your venue during those months, you can also negotiate prices more with your photographer and videographer. Another way to save money is to go with a studio that offers both services: photography and videography. If you bundle services and go with a team, you could possibly save hundreds of dollars if booked same day. Lastly, what you can do is go through your preferred photographer/videographer packages and get rid of services/products you don’t really need. For example, if you don’t want a drawn out 45 minute church ceremony and only want a 3 minute highlight film. This could save you more than a thousand dollars in your final wedding video price. Another example, you could get rid of a second photographer and make it possible to have two separate times when you and your partner get ready in the morning. This potentially can save you over $500.
One last tip is to prioritize what you like. If photography is more important to you and your partner, don’t ditch video but make sure you book a hybrid wedding photographer/videographer. They could offer potentially a two minute highlight film and a good balance of photographs.
