I got a ticket but it was worth it

I have a little hate and love relationship with Malibu’s hiking areas. I’ll explain why. It was black friday maybe 3 weeks ago, and I offered 30 minute sessions for a steal. Short story, my sister put my ad in one of her Facebook groups and Benny booked me the next day.

I always arrive at least 1 hour early to my family photoshoots to do a location scout, especially if I haven’t had history photographing there. This hiking area didn’t have dedicated parking, but there was parallel parking areas near the entrance. Parked the car and proceeded to location scout for epic spots for Benny, her husband, dogs, and daughter. The cloud cover made for even lighting on the skin tones and pretty cool pink hues in the background. The dogs were every where, but Benny’s husband brought treats and it helped tremendously.

After an amazing photoshoot, we walked back to the car and my girlfriend Emily found a citation on our car windshield. Malibu loves giving citations to hikers in secluded areas supposedly. Epic views and expensive tickets. I’ll miss you Malibu, kinda.
