How my wedding career all started

I was about 25 years old when I decided to document my hobbies with the early GoPro Hero HDs, cellphones, and flip screen camcorders in the early 2000’s. My goal was to be a fishing content creator on Facebook and YouTube. Well, like many, I had no idea what I was doing. Windows Moviemaker software kept crashing, and iMovie wasn’t doing any better. I quit.

Then my curiosity for photography and videography had a jump start in 2014. My dad gave me a computer, and my friend was in the middle of moving and decided to lend me a Canon Rebel T3i. I was a big fan of JustKiddingFilms on YouTube, because they were funny, relatable, and cared about quality content. I knew this Canon camera would open doors to opportunities. I filmed and photographed every day: graduation photos, mockup engagement shoots, and lipsync videos. Heck, I even made short films using lamps in my apartment.

Soon after, I jumped in the wedding industry after watching wedding highlight films in SoCal. I was amazed and hungry for growth. My cousin introduced me to wedding filmmaking and photography in 2015. I loved the challenge of capturing the best shot with the uncontrolled variables. After a few months of assisting, I decided to take the next step and associate shoot for other companies. This helped immensely with the growth of my photography and videography style.

Fast forward to today, I filmed and photographed countless weddings.
