If Castle Green and Wes Anderson made a baby…

Recently, I filmed as an associate shooter and the location was a gem. Believe or not, this was my first time filming at the Castle Green in Old Town Pasadena for the 7 years I’ve been filming weddings. The natural color palette of this venue was filled with rich colors that emphasized the groom in this film. And all the lines and architectural design helped create almost a symmetrical frame for all the film images.

You might ask me why is this all important? Wes Anderson is an infamous filmmaker that everybody knows that studied film. His style was significant using color palettes and symmetrical frames in all his movies that were iconic. Every now and then you will see other cinematographers like myself use similar styles to keep them alive. But you can’t credit Wes Anderson completely, because Castle Green in Pasadena and their venue designer did an incredible job that embraced the word vintage.

If you’re a film purist, I may not film in actual film for your wedding but I embrace the Wes Anderson signatures styles and love vintage venues. Use this link to contact me.
